"Evil loomed over the land of Hyrule once again and chaos prevailed. The king and all the people from Hyrule prayed that the gods help them, and thus the land was flooded keeping the evil underwater while the survivors fleed to the highest mountains."

Done for the :iconthehistoryofhyrule: 2013 calendar contest

I took a crazy amount of time to come up with this piece, although I still see a lot of laws in it I'm happy about how tackled this challenge and I will improve more.

Love it. It has a sense of sadness for obvious reasons, but the colors help to establish the horror of the situation.
And, I don't know if you did it on purpose, but the small ray of light shining down on the Triforce gives me the impression of the closing door of hope Hyrule had.
